When you receive a septic certification for real estate or to sell your home, you will receive a written document that states the current condition of the on site sewerage disposal system. This can either describe the functional or malfunctioning state of the septic tank and septic system as they relate to current standards at the time of the inspection.
It should be noted that the septic certification you receive is neither a guarantee or a warranty that the septic system will be functioning as described within the certificate for any amount of time in the future. Changes in the system and unexpected situations can cause these conditions to deteriorate at any time.
